Patricia Ortiz
Last week the Monteverde Institute lost a treasured, integral member of its community. Patricia Gabriela Ortiz was a extraordinarily gifted professor, a valued colleague and friend who devoted countless hours in service to her students, her community and to the natural world. Pati was an unparalleled, generous artist who saw the beauty in every opportunity to teach and share her work. Pati was killed doing what she loved, exploring nature. We extend our deepest condolences and sympathies to her family and friends. Her loss is immeasurable.
Pati’s impact on everyone she met was extraordinary. She had a unique ability to make each person feel special and valued.
We encourage all those who knew Pati to share their photos and video on her facebook page. We also will be collecting these items to share with her family and friends.
